This yarn, made from recycled jeans (post consumer), is unusually soft and the touch resembles a mixture of bourette silk and wool. The color range is narrow and that is done on purpose: Kremke Soul Wool stuck to the original colors of the jeans and didn't apply another chemical process by bleaching it and dying in different colors. The Polyester part of the yarn is made from recycled PET bottles. The raw material is sourced in India, where the yarn is spun by the same father-and-son owned company that produces other yarns for the company. The dyes used are free of animal derivates so that this yarn can be called truely vegan.
Please note that recycled yarns are not as stable as premium yarns, so there can be some weak spots in the yarn. But once knitted up, the fabric is as durable as any other knitted fabric.
