Adding colour to your knitting can feel like a daunting next step. Mosaic knitting is a technique that will have you adding colour like a pro, all while only having to worry about one colour at a time. This ingenious method uses only knits, purls, and slipped stitches to crate beautiful geometric patterns in two colours.

For this class we will use the Pressed Flowers kerchief to learn the basics of the technique and how to read the charts. The kerchief is the taster pattern from the Pressed Flowers collection. Once you have mastered this smaller project you’ll be ready to jump to one of the others on the collection which include a pullover, cardigan, hat, snood, socks and the original shawl.

This class is for adventurous beginners, confident with knit and purl stitches.

The class requires the materials to make a kerchief. If you order with your class booking please select Click and Collect and I will reserve your materials and bring them along to the class. I will also have a selection of appropriate yarns available on the day.
You will need 50g aran yarn in two colours and 5mm knitting needles.

Classes are held at Thirst Drinks Syndicate, Arch 23, Viaduct Road, Chelmsford CM1 61TS. It is in the railway arches under the Chelmsford train station, across from the bus stops.
The space is accessible with step free entrance and an accessible toilet next to the teaching space. Please get in touch in regards to any additional accessibility needs or concerns.
