Corner to Corner Crochet Blanket
Corner to Corner Crochet Blanket
Blankets are an absolute mainstay for crochet, and for good reason! The stitches work so well for making cozy, comfortable blankets perfect for everything from babies to grown ups! Corner to Corner (C2C) blankets are a great option for when you don't want to do any of the tedious sewing up with granny squares, but still want the same cozy feel. The name is quite literal, you'll start at one point and increase until it is the size you want, then decrease for the other side of the square. It can be worked in a solid, or in fun stripes, the possibilities are endless!
In this one day class we will cover the basics of crochet and master the treble crochet stitch to make a blanket. We will work on chain stitch, treble crochet stitch and slip stitch. You can choose to make a small practice blanket or start right away on a bigger blanket.
This class is suitable for absolute beginners as well as those with some experience.
This class requires DK weight wool in your choice of colours and a 4mm crochet hook. For a practice size 50g is fine, for a baby sized blanket you will need 200-300g. These supplies can be purchased from the mini mobile yarn shop on the day. If you order with your class booking please select Click and Collect and I will reserve your materials and bring them along to the class. I will also have a selection of appropriate yarns available on the day.
The sample is made with 100g each of Bo Peep DK in Piglet and Tin Man.
Classes are held at Patch Chelmsford, 5-7 Grays Yard, Springfield Road, Chelmsford CM2 6QR. It is next to Nando's in the town centre.
The space is accessible with step free entrance and an accessible toilet next to the teaching space. Please feel free to get in touch in regards to any additional accessibility needs or concerns.
